Microsoft not considering Bitcoin involvement at the Moment

The US second largest company Microsoft  not planning to do a Tesla investment move on Bitcoin, says president. 

 

In an interview on the 16th of Feb with CNN'S Julia Chatterly, Microsoft president hinted that Microsoft could still change it's mind on the topmost Cryptocurrency but says it's a "NO" at the moment.


When ask whether Microsoft is discussing any Cryptocurrency diversification plans following Tesla $1.5 billion investment in Bitcoin, the Microsoft president said that he's not aware of such discussions.

 

"I haven't heard any new conversation about Bitcoin. But let me just say, if we change our investment policy on Bitcoin,  Julia, you will be the first or at least the second to know." says the Smith.

 

Microsoft moving  into Bitcoin in future will bring a lot of positives to the industry amid recent institutional investment companies as well, which in turn could speed up the possibility of Bitcoin going mainstream.


 
At the moment, Bitcoin market capitalization stands at $951 billion, having surpassed the market cap of Tesla, but will need to double up it stands to go past that of Microsoft valued at  $1.8 billion.
