Ripple welcomes Ex-Goldman Sachs and Uber Executive as managing Director

Ripple announced it is welcoming a veteran to it's ranks as the digital payment giant continues its Southeast Asia expansion program.

 

The payment giant welcomed the former Goldman Sachs and Uber executive to Ripple as managing director of the Southeast Asia region.

 

In a recent statement, Ripple confirms that Brooks Entwistle will take up the position as managing director of the firms Southeast Asia base. Entwistle who is packed with experience will be based in Singapore where the firms headquarters is located in Southeast Asia.

 

According to a previous statement made by Ripple, the firm confirmed that Southeast Asia has proving to be it's fastest growing market with adoption of RippleNet its global payment network rising constantly.

 

Asheesh Birla, RippleNet's general manager said the Southeast Asia region is very dynamic, and the addition of Entwistle to Ripple will help bolster the company further in the region.

 

"We are delighted to welcome Brooks to lead the charge as Ripple aims to continue it's incredible growth in the region," Birla continued "RippleNet adoption amongst Southeast Asia's payment providers, fintechs and SME's makes the region our largest market in both customer demand and transaction growth."

 

Ripple welcomes Entwistle as managing director with experience as a former chief operating officer of Goldman Sachs Asia unit. Entwistle also served as a partner of the investment bank in Singapore.

 

During Entwistle days at Uber in the Asia Pacific region, he was named the regional general manager and executive sponsor for women@Uber and other executive positions.

 

Entwistle currently boast of a combined twenty one and a half years of working experience in both Uber and Goldman Sachs holding top positions in both organizations in the region.
