The well-known businessman said investor Dan Loeb’s "deep dive" into crypto has helped him with deciding on investing in bitcoin.
Kevin O'Leary who stars on the popular reality TV show Shark Tank who has been known for not being a Bitcoin supporter who once called the flagship crypto "giant nothing burger."
In a recent tweet, O'Leary claimed that he would be investing up to 3% of his portfolio to Bitcoin (BTC), while he hinted at looking into investing in sustainable crypto mining.
O'Leary's Twitter and Instagram profile pictures presently show the businessman with laser eyes which were used by those associated with the crypto industry.
The shark Tank star change of tune with bitcoin seems to be influenced by Dan Leob, CEO of Third Point an asset management firm based in New York. Who confirmed yesterday that he would be diving deep into crypto as he looks to bridge the gab between traditional finance and crypto assets.
O'Leary said:
“Every operating firm I'm an investor in is having their Daniel Loeb ‘moment’ regarding putting Bitcoin on their balance sheet,” also. “Changes in the regulatory environment have changed my mind about participating.”
O'Leary who is valued at over $400 million, said he already owned some Bitcoin (BTC) and is considering upping his BTC holdings by investing more. Although the shark Tank star hasn't been known to be bullish on crypto as he recently called Bitcoin "not a real currency," and in terms of Bitcoin value as an assets he said it's a "giant nothing burger."
